Christmas Tree Delivery in Sydney: How It Works, What It Costs and Where We Deliver
Jack Doyle · Jack Frost Christmas Trees
A real Christmas tree is one of the best parts of December. Wrestling a 7ft pine onto your roof racks in 30-degree heat is not.
That's why more Sydney households are getting their tree delivered. But "delivery" means very different things from one service to the next. This guide explains what's typically included, what it costs, the questions worth asking before you book, and exactly how delivery works with Jack Frost.
Quick answer: how does Christmas tree delivery work in Sydney?
- You order online, choose a tree size and pick a delivery day for your postcode.
- The tree arrives on your chosen day, usually within a delivery window rather than at a fixed time.
- What happens next depends on the service. Some drop the tree at the door. Others, like Jack Frost, carry it inside, place it in your stand, level it and tidy up the needles.
- Cost: some services charge delivery separately based on postcode. At Jack Frost, delivery and set-up are included in the tree price, with trees from $329.95.
What does a Christmas tree delivery service include?
Inclusions vary a lot, so it pays to read the fine print. Here's what you'll commonly see:
| Inclusion | What it means | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Door drop-off | Tree left at your front door or gate | You still need to carry it in and set it up |
| Carry inside | Delivery team brings the tree into your home | Big help for heavy trees, stairs and apartments |
| Set-up in a stand | Tree placed in a water-holding stand | Getting it straight and secure is the fiddly part |
| Levelling | Tree adjusted so it stands straight | Prevents leaning and tipping |
| Clean-up | Loose needles tidied after install | No pine trail through the house |
| Delivery updates | SMS or tracking on the day | You know when to be home |
| Stand and accessories | Stand, watering tools, extras | Often sold as add-ons |
| January removal | Tree collected after Christmas | Saves cutting it up for the green bin |
How much does Christmas tree delivery cost in Sydney?
There are two common pricing models:
- Tree price plus a delivery fee. The delivery fee often depends on your postcode or distance, and installation may be extra again.
- All-in pricing. The tree price includes delivery and set-up, so what you see is what you pay for the tree.
When comparing, add it all up: the tree, delivery, set-up, a stand if you need one, and removal in January. A cheaper headline price can end up costing more once extras are added, and a tree that dries out early isn't good value at any price.
At Jack Frost, delivery and set-up are included. Our Premium Pine trees are:
| Size | Approx. height | Price (delivery and set-up included) |
|---|---|---|
| 5ft | 1.5m | $329.95 |
| 6ft | 1.8m | $379.95 |
| 7ft (most popular) | 2.1m | $439.95 |
| 8ft | 2.4m | $519.95 |
| 9ft | 2.7m | $789.95 |
| 10ft | 3.0m | $1,124.95 |
What should you ask before booking a Christmas tree delivery?
A few quick questions will tell you exactly what you're getting:
- Is delivery included or extra? And does it change with your postcode?
- Do they carry it inside and set it up? Or is it a door drop?
- Do I need my own stand? If so, what size suits the tree?
- Can I choose my delivery day? Or will they tell you when it's coming?
- What's the delivery window, and will you get updates on the day?
- What happens if I'm not home?
- What type of tree is it, and who selects it?
- What if I'm not happy with the tree?
- Is removal available after Christmas?
How does Jack Frost Christmas tree delivery work?
Jack Frost was founded by Jack Doyle in 2022, and 2026 is our fifth season. Jack hand-selects every tree, we delivered over 500 trees in the 2025 season, and we're rated 5.0 on Google. Here's the process, step by step. (You can also see it on our how it works page.)
1. Enter your postcode
Pop your postcode in online to confirm we deliver to you.
2. Choose your tree
Pick a Premium Pine (Pinus radiata) from 5ft to 10ft. Not sure on size? A 6ft tree suits most standard 2.4m ceilings, while 7ft is our most popular size.
3. Pick your delivery day
Choose your preferred delivery date in the cart. Deliveries run from late November through mid-to-late December.
4. Get updates on the day
Deliveries happen between 8am and 6pm. We SMS you the day before, on the morning of delivery, and again when we're one stop away, with live tracking so you can see us coming.
5. We deliver and install
We carry the tree inside, place it in your stand, level it and tidy up any loose needles. All you need to do is fill the stand with water and decorate.
Not home on the day?
That's fine. We leave the tree in the shade with a care guide, so it's ready for you when you get back.

To check your exact suburb and see available dates, head to our delivery areas and postcodes page.
Do I need a Christmas tree stand?
Yes. A real tree needs a stand that holds water, because fresh-cut trees drink a lot, especially in the first few days. If you don't have one, add a Cinco Classic stand to your order and we'll set your tree up in it:
- Small (5ft trees): $54.95
- Medium (6 to 7ft trees): $74.95
- Large (8 to 12ft trees): $105.95
A watering funnel ($39.95) makes topping up easy without crawling under the branches.
What else can you add to a delivery?
- Christmas tree candle ($44.95) for that pine scent in another room.
- Gift vouchers from $50 to $500, handy for family or clients.
- Tree removal ($54.95): we collect your tree from the kerb between 6 and 10 January, and it's recycled into mulch.
Need a tree for a workplace? Office tree packages start from $839.95, with installs on 25 and 26 November. See our office Christmas trees page.
How long will a delivered Christmas tree last?
With proper care, our trees stay fresh for 4 to 5 weeks. The basics: keep the stand topped up with water every day, and keep the tree away from heaters, air vents and strong direct sun. Our tree care guide has the full checklist. And if you're not happy with your tree, send us a photo and we'll work on a replacement.
When should you book Christmas tree delivery?
Book once you know which day suits you. You choose your date when you order, so booking earlier gives you the widest choice of delivery days. Many people like their tree up for the first weekend of December; others prefer a later date so it's at its freshest on Christmas Day.
