What Actually Happens When You Order a Real Christmas Tree From Jack Frost
Jack Doyle · Jack Frost Christmas Trees
A lot of people tell me they love the idea of a real tree delivered, but they're not quite sure how it works. Do I need to be home? What if it's the wrong size? What happens after Christmas?
So here's exactly what happens, from the moment you order to the moment the tree is gone in January.
Step 1: Pick your size
Our trees come in 5ft to 10ft. A rough guide:
- 5ft ($329.95): apartments and smaller spaces
- 6ft ($379.95): standard homes
- 7ft to 9ft ($439.95 to $789.95): high ceilings and big living rooms, and 7ft is our most popular size
- 10ft ($1,124.95): for the real Christmas fanatics
Not sure? Measure from floor to ceiling and leave room for the stand and a star on top. If you're still unsure, call or message me and I'll help you pick.
Step 2: Pick your delivery day
We run delivery days from late November to mid-to-late December, covering the CBD and Inner West, the Eastern Suburbs, the Sutherland Shire and St George, the Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore, and Northern Wollongong. You enter your postcode and choose the day that suits you in the cart.
Need a stand? Add one to your cart. We stock Cinco stands sized for every tree, and we'll set your tree up in it on the day.
Step 3: We hand-pick your tree
Your tree is hand-selected for shape and fullness and freshly cut. You won't get one that's been leaning against a fence in a car park for two weeks.
Step 4: You'll know exactly when we're coming
The day before, you'll get a message letting you know your tree is ready for delivery. On the morning, you'll get another one when we're on the road, and then a heads-up when we're one stop away.
Step 5: We bring it in and set it up
Our crew carries the tree inside, places it in your stand, straightens it up and tidies away the loose needles. You get a simple care guide so it stays fresh for four to five weeks. Your only job is to fill the stand with water.
Step 6: Enjoy it
Decorate it, put the presents underneath and enjoy the smell. If anything isn't right with your tree, send us a photo and we'll work on a replacement as quickly as we can.
Step 7: We take it away (optional)
Add our removal service and we'll collect your tree from the kerb between 6 and 10 January. Just leave it out the front near the street, and it gets recycled instead of going to landfill.
That's it
Five years ago, getting a real tree meant a car park, a borrowed ute and pine needles in your car until March. Now it's a few clicks. That's the whole reason Jack Frost exists.
